About Me
Hello! My name is Nina Jayashankar and I am a New York based actress of South Indian descent. Originally from San Jose, CA, I began my training in classical voice, acting, and Jazz and Bollywood dance. I attended Northwestern University where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Mathematics with a certificate in Musical Theatre.
Some of my favorite theatre credits include Spring Awakening (A.R.T. NY Theatres), Sohni Mahiwal (The Blank Theatre), and The Bachelor Parody Musical (Apollo Theatre). I’m always eager to explore a new musical and find the new pieces of magic within it. I’m also a huge nerd about musicianship and vocal technique!
In my spare time, you can probably find me cooking, reading, knitting, or playing piano or ukulele.
